Frequently Asked Questions
DOES IT HURT?
Yes, tattoos can be painful and vulnerable depending on the area. Areas like arms and legs tend to hurt less, but if you are concerned about a specific area and have questions based on my experience and other clients, please reach out to me.
CAN I USE NUMBING CREAM?
Oregon recently passed a law prohibiting tattoo artists to apply numbing agents to clients. I also prefer to not tattoo on skin that has numbing cream applied to it because it can affect the ink deposit into your skin, and change the healing process as well. This law does include bactine as well.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Please come in after eating a full meal and drinking plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment. Eating and hydration is extremely important, I cannot stress this enough. This means please do not take any blood thinners before your appointment (ex. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc) or drink alcohol the day before or the day of. Any sunburns, scratches, bruising in the area being tattooed are not allowed.
